Academy Information:  NorthRidge Christian Academy was founded in 1997. We are a faith-based college preparatory academy which focuses on the teachings of God’s Word, and how we can equip our students to apply it to our world today. This year we enroll approximately 201 students from kindergarten to twelfth grade.  We will have our first graduating class in 2010.

Accreditation:  We are fully accredited with FACCS (Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools). Teachers:  Our teachers must hold a four  year degree and have passed a state certification exam in their field of education.  Often in the interview process we ask that they feel “called” to the ministry.  They truly have a heart for the students and love what they do.

Curriculum:  Our curriculum is chosen based on its content and test scores.  In our elementary we use the A Beka Program from kindergarten to fourth grade and continue to use some A Beka and incorporate Bob Jones for the Science and Social Sciences. Our Bible curriculum comes from the Positive Action Organization.  In our middle and high school we use the Bob Jones Curriculum for Science, Social Studies, and high school Literature. We use the Glencoe curriculum from McGraw Hill for Math and high school Chemistry .  This year we have piloted the Shurley English program to solidify grammar mastery and incorporate writing mastery skills.  This program has greatly enhanced our Language Arts program.

Standardized Testing:  Every year in the spring we administer the Stanford 10 achievement test.  This allows us to assess our students academically on a national level.  On average, our students test a grade level above the national level.  We also use this test to determine the effectiveness of our curriculum.
